Holden-6 months old

It's been a while since I've blog, but thought I'd make a come back with this little cutie pie. :) I seriously LOVED taking his picture. Capture little babies around this age is just so fun. Their smiles, joy, and pure innocence is just great to be around. Funny thing to about Holden's mommy is that we knew each other way back when. And when I mean way back when, I mean like 3rd-5th grade. So when we were just little kids. And now we have our own kids! Crazy how that happens. ;) Well her baby is just purely adorable and I'm so glad I got to meet him and provide these lasting photos for his family.

My little one is one!

Well, she actually turned one almost a month ago, but I'm just now finishing up my session with her. Sheesh I'm slow! She is just the apple of my eye, and I am just amazed everyday that she is mine. My life has changed so much since she has entered in to it, but for the better. She is so smart, funny, and always makes me smile. At her one year check up she was 19 lbs, 11oz, and 29 1/4 inches tall! I can't believe how much she's grown, and I can't wait to watch her grow more into the perfect little girl that she is.

Baby Evelyn, 7 days old.

Sweet little Evelyn was only a week old when I got the chance to meet her. I did her mama's maternity pictures (also on the blog) and was excited to meet this little lady. She was so sweet and cuddly, and was a nice little lady for me to work with. We had to take a couple food breaks (don't we all?) but we soon got back into action. What's also special is that she shares the same birthday as my daughter. March 23rd. A good day indeed. :)

Little Carter

I had the wonderful opportunity to take some photos for an old childhood friend. Her sister and I practically grew up together, and she was the cool older sister who would help us get ready for school dances among other things. I was happy to hear from her, and also happy to meet and photograph her adorable 20 month old son Carter. We visited Mcminamen's Edgefield, and walked around the grounds on a surprisingly beautiful day. He was such a sweetie, and of course always on the go exploring everything. So I just followed along and took some shots as I could. We had such a good time together, he even wanted to follow me when I left wanting to explore some more. :) Overall it was a great little reunion, and I was glad I got to meet cute little Carter. Hopefully I'll be able to see them again sometime soon!

Spring! Spring!!

Is anyone else ready for spring? I know I sure am. Sitting here as I'm typing, I can see the rain just pouring as it usually does this time of year and all I can think about is the sunny future of spring. Although I know the rain doesn't stop in the spring, I know that there are those moments of sun that are less likely in the winter here in the great northwest. Spring for me means my birthday, my daughter's 1st birthday, and hopefully lots of new fun sunny sessions! I have loved using wintry weather to my best advantage, but I think I'm ready for a change, and for something different. 

Misty & Dave~Couples Shoot

Misty is a return client that has thankfully come back! She is a friend of my sister's and is so nice. I was happy to photograph her and the new man her life. They were so happy together, and it was so sweet to see that love they had. :) Just priceless! It was a quick and simple session in the cold soggy weather, but I got some great shots of the two of them.

Katie & Lindsey~ Maternity Session

I absolutely LOVE maternity shoots. Which is weird, because I myself, hated pregnancy. I was sick all the time, lost 9 lbs the first trimester, and was completely miserable. But underneath all of the throwing up, fatigue, heartburn, etc. there was a tiny miracle growing in my belly. And I think that is what is so special about those pregnant bellies. I really love trying to do my best to capture the beauty that is growing and creating life. Because I don't think there is anything more beautiful than that. What was also fun about this session, was that it was a friend maternity shoot along with just a regular maternity shoot. Katie was 36 weeks, and Lindsey was 20, and they were both just stunning!
